Happy Birthday Seth!

We had a great time for Seth's 11th birthday!  After the fun at the Inflatable 5k, we headed to Smokey Bones for bar-b-q and Pokeball cake!

Double Feature Weekend!

What a weekend for Mellissa!  On Saturday, she ran the Ed Root 10k in New Smyrna, with an awesome 2nd place in age group finish!

Horray for Second Place!

Then, hopped in the car and drove to St. Augustine, where Mellissa and Michelle ran the Diva Half Marathon.  No prizes, but Mellissa beat her half marathon PR by over a minute, not sure how those legs held out!

We all turned Zombie at the Zombie 5k today, but Mellissa was a big winner, bringing home 2nd place in her age group and 2nd place in the costume contest.  Not too shabby!

Great CoreFit! Turn Out at the Law Day 5k!

Great time on Saturday at the Law Day 5k presented by OCBA for Team ShuffieldLowman - CoreFit!  All my SLW peeps did great, we even had a few of our kiddos place in their age groups!  Always good to see Staci Baker, who we cocktailed with afterwards - sadly, only Seth and I could participate, as Adam managed to break a toe on Friday - he was a great cheerleader for everyone!

Sad News

Sad news at the Waters house, our sweet little River passed away this morning.  She woke up not feeling well, and passed away before we got her to the vet. Say a little good-bye for us to our sweet little lady.

Broward County, I Have a Bone to Pick!

So, while the weather this weekend for the A1A Ft. Lauderdale Marathon was wonderful, the maintenance of the roads in Broward County leave something to be desired!  Adam did a GREAT job in the 1/2 marathon, but I was removed by medical at mile 17.  At mile 14 I slipped on some loose gravel and twisted my knee.  I soldiered through for 3 more miles, but when I stopped at the medical tent at 17, everything got very hazy.  Because it's an open course, medical wouldn't let me back out.  Boo!  But, I will persevere, and go back next year and kill this course.  Here are a few pics from the weekend.
