2015 Celebration of Running Success

We had a great time at another Track Shack Celebration of Running Event.  Seth did a great job, and we met up with Michelle as well!

The Big Winner!

Seth won big at the end of year awards!  Can you believe third grade is almost over?!  Looks like fourth grade will have even more potential, as we also found out Seth has tested into the gifted program.  Great job!

These Turtles Took Down that Hare!

Another weekend, another race!  We are fully in Marathon training mode now!!  Sadly Adam had to miss out, but Michelle, Jules and I ran the Turtle Takeoff 5k at NSB, and it was SOOOOOOO hot!  Summer is most definitely here, no doubt!

Michelle finished with a time of 31:04, putting her 2 out of 27, I was right on her tail with a time of 33:45, coming in 4 of 27.  Jules was smarter than us and chose to walk in the searing heat, he finished at 52:27.  Barracuda dollars after the race bought mimosas and iced teas all around!

Another Fishstock 5k Down!

Memorial Day Weekend at NSB means the Fishstock 5k!  Adam and I ran it again this year, thankful they made it a bit earlier this time!  I finished with a time of 31:18:62, 11 out of 30 in my age group, Adam finished 36:11:58. 17 out of 19 in his age group.

Cocoa Beach 10k Down!

Had a great Mother's Day morning today running the USA Beach Running Championships at Cocoa Beach.  Adam, Michelle and I did the 10k, but we ran (not really!) into Rich Garand who did the half.  It was hot, but a mimosa at the end makes a everything fine!

Hello Sea World!

Seth and I had tons of fun on the third grade field trip to Sea World!  No big coasters due to some of our friends height, but tons of fun no less!

Chicago Here We Come!!

Another marathon is ready for training!  Both Adam and I got our emails today, we made it through the lottery into the Chicago Marathon!!  Super excited about this one, running through 19 neighborhoods of home!  Hopefully the October weather will be kind to our Florida blood!

Log Off, Shut Down, Go Run

And so we did!!  Adam, Michelle and I ran Gone for a Run's "virtual" 10k this weekend, but it felt awful real!  Good fun was had by all!
