A Very Scary Awful Ant
Seth came running into the living room to tell us there was a "very scary awful ant" in his bedroom. Adam went to investigate, and I then heard furniture moving and toilet flushing, so I went to inspect this monster ant. Turns out a very scary awful ant is really just an ordinary sized cockroach. Ewww.

Fall is in the Air
Well in Florida, not really. But summer has ravaged the garden, the birds and squirrels have feasted on my poor sunflowers and ripped off most of their heads, and the summer sun has fried the tomatoes and watermelon plants, so it was time to sow under the summer garden and replant for the fall. I spent the morning doing so, and now we are ready for Fall veggies! We put in tomatoes, cabbage, spinach, kale, squash, cucumbers and relocated the sole cauliflower that survived the summer sun. Our berries and grapes survived the heat, so they continue to prosper, hopefully they will survive the brutal Orlando Winter (teehee) and flower in the spring.

The Little Bartender
Seth has become quite the little barkeep. He helped Adam put all the beer in a cooler for the Luau, and covered it with ice. A few hours later Adam asked him to get him a beer out of the cooler. "Green (Yingling) or Blue (Mic Ultra) beer, daddy," he asked? Blue, Adam tells him. "You've got it," he replies. Next he will need a tip jar :)

The Next Bobby Fisher
Adam has introduced Seth to Chess, and I am pretty sure he is already better at it than I am. They have been playing on the computer, and as far as Seth is concerned he is the "CHAMPION" no matter if he wins or loses. I hope he never tires of playing anything, win or lose!

Help! Anyone?
Nothing gets you out of bed quicker that shouts coming from the baby monitor. Last night we hear, "Help! Help! Anyone?" So, we both go to see what's up, and find Seth with his head under 2 blankets in bed. "What's wrong?", I ask. "I'm sweaty", he says. Well yeah, if you sleep in a blanket cave, you would be!
