Another Sharkbite Half, Another PR!

Not sure what it is about this race, but this is year 3 that I put a PR in the books for this one!  It was super cold this year, when I finished the race it was 45 degrees, but a great run once again!

Fabulous new PR at the Shark Bite half this morning!!  Sadly, our medals are caught in customs, but they will be received soon enough. Mellissa is all set for Ft. Lauderdale next month!

Double Feature Weekend!

What a weekend for Mellissa!  On Saturday, she ran the Ed Root 10k in New Smyrna, with an awesome 2nd place in age group finish!

Then, hopped in the car and drove to St. Augustine, where Mellissa and Michelle ran the Diva Half Marathon.  No prizes, but Mellissa beat her half marathon PR by over a minute, not sure how those legs held out!

Gobble, Gobble - Happy Thanksgiving!

I started off Thanksgiving Day with a 5k!  I had a pretty good time, and came in 4th in my age group, 2 higher than last year!  A race that ends with a mimosa is always a win!

These Turtles Took Down that Hare!

Another weekend, another race!  We are fully in Marathon training mode now!!  Sadly Adam had to miss out, but Michelle, Jules and I ran the Turtle Takeoff 5k at NSB, and it was SOOOOOOO hot!  Summer is most definitely here, no doubt!

Michelle finished with a time of 31:04, putting her 2 out of 27, I was right on her tail with a time of 33:45, coming in 4 of 27.  Jules was smarter than us and chose to walk in the searing heat, he finished at 52:27.  Barracuda dollars after the race bought mimosas and iced teas all around!

Another Fishstock 5k Down!

Memorial Day Weekend at NSB means the Fishstock 5k!  Adam and I ran it again this year, thankful they made it a bit earlier this time!  I finished with a time of 31:18:62, 11 out of 30 in my age group, Adam finished 36:11:58. 17 out of 19 in his age group.

Happy 2015!

We started out the new year running!  Adam, Seth and I ran the Flamingo 5k in NSB again this year, what a fun way to kick off the new year!  I set a new PR with a time of 29:54, now THAT'S how you start the year!  There were 415 runners, I finished 155th, Adam finished 237th and Seth came in 385th. Sadly, we didn't win a bike this year, but we figure if we did it every year they'de kick us out!  We are ready to go for the WDW marathon next week!

Sweet Sundae!

Our Sundae 5k in New Smyrna Beach was sweet indeed!  Sadly, Michelle, Jules and Cole were not able to join us as planned, but we soldiered on!  Dad used Jules' number and walked the race, his very first 5k!  Seth did this one solo, and without Adam and I to urge him along, he was slower than molasses, but he finished under his own power so all ended well.  While Seth had his ice cream after the race, none of the rest of us were up to that, so we took the voucher to come back later in the afternoon and had our yummies then.  Our finish times were pretty good considering Adam and I ran the 4 miles to the race, and by the time we started the actual race, it was well into the 80's!  Out of 409 total runners, our times were:
Adam - 35:55 - 201, Mellissa - 35:08 - 191, Seth - 55:34 - 380, and Dad - 50:50 - 346.  Here are a few pics:

Fishstock Conquered!

We had a super fun (and super HOT) time at the Fishstock 5k this weekend!  Adam and Mellissa ran the 5k, and Seth ran the kids race.  With over 500 participants, it was a fun run but temperatures were soaring, it was in the mid 80's by the time we finished, before 9am!!  Mellissa finished with a time of 32:08, and Adam with a time of 36:08, pretty good for the heat!!  Here are a few pics:

Seth's Best Race!

Seth and Mellissa ran a fun 5k at Venetian Bay in New Smyrna Beach today. This was a small race, just 97 runners, but Seth came in third in his age group and won a terrific medal!  Mellissa came in 73rd with a time of 37:54, and Seth was 74th with a time of 37:55.
